Start Here

Welcome. Whether you landed here from Instagram, TikTok, a Google search, or a recommendation from someone who thought you needed this — you're in the right place.
Here's what this page is: a quick orientation so you know exactly what The Wired & Wild is, who's behind it, and where to go first.

What This Is
Women's health finance ADHD blog
The Wired & Wild is a one-stop resource for women who are exhausted by wellness content that isn't backed by anything, finance advice that doesn't account for the real world, and productivity tips written for brains that work nothing like theirs.
Everything published here is researched, cited, and filtered through lived experience. The sources you'll find in these posts are not fringe organizations, not politically affiliated, and not trying to sell you anything. They are neutral, credible, science-backed institutions that have been doing the work for decades — NIH, CDC, peer-reviewed journals, licensed clinicians. When the research is still emerging or the science isn't settled, I'll tell you that too. Transparency is the entire point.
I am not a doctor, a financial advisor, or a licensed anything. I am a woman who has done an unreasonable amount of research, made a significant number of mistakes, and decided that sharing both openly might actually be useful to someone.
Who's Behind It
I write under a pseudonym. I work in the corporate world and my employer does not know this page exists — they know my address because they handle my W-2s, and that's about the extent of it. My professional identity and my personal voice need to stay separate, and I make no apologies for that.
What I will tell you is that I write from personal experience — not personal opinion dressed up as expertise. When I write about sciatica, it's because I spent two years in pain before getting answers. When I write about anxiety medication, it's because I went through six before finding the right one. When I write about quitting alcohol, it's because I did. The research backs the experience. The experience makes the research mean something.
I share personal details because context builds trust — not because I have any interest in oversharing for its own sake. You'll get the real version of things here, including the parts that are embarrassing or uncomfortable, because that's the only version worth reading.

If you're here for ADHD, productivity, or neurodivergent content: Start with Your Brain Isn't Broken. Your Workflow Just Wasn't Built For It — specifically written for neurodivergent women in corporate environments who are tired of productivity advice that assumes a neurotypical brain.
If you're here for money and finance: Start with An Older Sister's Guide to Not Screwing Up Your Finances if you're Gen Z, or The Emergency Fund Rule Is Outdated if you're a millennial who already has the basics and wants to think differently about what to do next.
If you're here for AI tools: Start with The 3-Part Prompt Formula That Makes Any AI Output Actually Usable — it will immediately change how you interact with these tools regardless of your experience level.
If you're not sure why you're here: Start with How Did I Get Here? — the post that started all of this. If any of it resonates, the rest will too.
A Few Things To Know
Nothing here is sponsored. Ever. If I recommend something — a book, a product, a tool, a clinic — it's because I personally used it and it worked. Or didn't, and I'll tell you that too. Some links in the Bookshelf and Library are Amazon affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them. Full disclosure is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Nothing here is medical or financial advice. Smart disclaimers live on their respective pages. Use this content as a starting point for your own research and your own conversations with qualified professionals.
Comments, questions, and "oh my god I thought I was the only one" moments can be sent through the contact form. I actually read them.
Now go find your category. You'll know it when you see it.
