The Thing Nobody Told Me About Sciatica (Until I Was Sobbing on a Video Call With My Doctor)
March 2020. The world was shutting down, I had just gotten a Bernese mountain dog who had not yet grasped the concept of her own size, and I was working from my couch in a DC apartment so small that a proper desk wasn't even an option. A kitchen bar stool was my office chair. My couch was my conference room. My back was quietly building a case against me that it would present, with devastating thoroughness, over the next two years.
